“John 3:16 Society” is a society at Wagiem Ward in Mon, Nagaland (India). It is registered under Society Act (REGD NO-H/RS-5461). The society involves in various activities such as Education, Health, Agriculture Aromatic, Fishery, Horticulture, Veterinary, Hand-loom, Social Welfare, Employment, awareness for protection of environment and various other relevant fields.
VISION
To serve the mass for Social-economic-culture upliftment as to attain all round development in the field of Education, Health, Agriculture Aromatic, Fishery, Horticulture, Veterinary, DRDA, Social Forest, Industry, Hand-loom, Social Welfare, Library, Book-Bank, Nursery, Arts and Painting Seminar Games, Employment and awareness for protection of environment and all other relevant field.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANISATION
- To uplift the weaker sections of the people and to uplift the people living below the poverty line.
- To take up certain action for promoting traditional, an, cultural heritage, etc. through possible ways and means for the benefit of the rural community of all races and tribes.
- To set up adult education project for formal and non-formal education.
- To set up and run children’s home, old age home, mobile media-care services, residential school, rehabilitation centre etc. for the orphans, destitute, Handicaps, Mentally disordered, Drugs Addict and other minorities.
- To explore the inscription of the motto” Reach out to unreached’
- To improve the socio-economic and mutual co-operation to the weaker section of the people.
- To promote resource persons.
- To create awareness on consumption of substances like Drug/Alcoholffobacco/Opium. Awareness on HIV/AIDS, harassment, rape etc.
- To equip and prepare our self to be a good citizens, so as to become a self responsible member of the society.
- To foster unity, integrity, fraternity, justice, equality. social, economic, culture, custom, traditions and Education.
- The society shall have its Library with the purpose to develop leaming and reading among young and old
- Ensuring that childrens are given equal opportunities and facilities for enjoying their rights.
- To safeguard and security the childern from being exploit, tortured, abuse, mistreated and to give them the rights and to live a dignified life.
- To ensure children to grow in an atmosphere of happiness, love, understanding, in carrying and nurturing the children.
- Structuring and implementing the principle of non-discrimination.
- To help self-employment to the school dropped out youths belonging to ST/SC/OBS and other weaker section of the society through entrepreneurial development and train in weaving, Tailoring, Knitting Embroidery and computer Education etc.
- To render assistance to the people affected by natural calamities.
- To undertake measure for the maintenance of environment through tree plantation, mass consciousness about the adverse effect of deforestation.
- NGO will approach government and other benevolent public/private/social organisation/TrustCharitable organisation for grant, contribution, loan, donation for the fulfillment of the above noted aims and objects of the NGO.
Thus, NGO swear that the people of all caste & creed may live together in harmony and it will render all sorts of welfare service to communities and will abide by to the constitution of the Republic of India. Plan & estimate of the Government issued time to time will be implemented.
POLICIES OF THE ORGANISATION
- To provide quality training for underprivileged and unemployed youths and to provide job opportunities.
- Legal adoption centre which gives protection for both mother and child.
The board is responsible for policy making, implementing the change in policy and take innovative work for the society.
MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE AND DECISION MAKING
Organisation conducts a weekly meeting at the end of every week to evaluate the achievement, failure and the challenges we face.
Quarterly meeting are being conducted with the board members to take an innovative work, changes in policy making for better functioning ofthe organisation.
WORKING SYSTEM
The organisation maintains all the reports and documents in hard copy and as well as in soft copy by computerizing offline and online.
ACHIEVEMENTS OF ORGANISATION
- Under SAA project since 2015 Legal adoption under Juvenile Justice Board, save the life of orphans abandoned and surrendered children, care & safe delivery instead of abortion, legal adoption in-country and inter-country.
- The organisation has been running Detoxification camp for drug addict; from the year 2018 by the organisation own contribution with the help of some donations and also with the help of administration.
EXPECTATION FROM THE ORGANISATION
Through this organisation, the people of the region will be sensitized through community based awareness, workshops, seminars and to utilize available natural resources, skill development. quality education, socio-economic uplifiment, implementing rights and justice in collaboration with other stakeholders.
